Chapter 1: Getting more serious
The last OASIS meeting. Mizuochi-san's "one word" led to the decision to hold the event every year.
After reflecting on last year's excessively unrestrained meetings and lack of planning and preparation, this year's preparations began steadily over several months. The event content was designed to avoid letting participants go too freely, but also to avoid placing too many restrictions. Sufficient notice of the event was given beforehand. Work was divided and established among staff.
All of this laid the foundation for the OASIS meetings that continue to this day.
Finally, it felt like a proper event.
When we first went to check out the planned location, we thought, "Perfect for a Jimny event!" but the ground was so barren. Our staff had been conducting guerrilla-style "RS Pick-Up Missions" in various locations to get as many people as possible to participate in the event. Few people know that many of the event's performance ideas were scrapped, but the staff were crying, laughing, and agonizing right up until the day before the event. All the staff were fully prepared to tackle the challenge.
"The rest is up to the wise."
...These were my honest feelings just before the event.
Chapter 2: Double it! Double it again!!
May 14, 2000. Sunny with occasional clouds.
There was information that it would rain around Kobe. The weather was a bit uncertain.
Miraculously, the weather was good only in this area. I was grateful for my daily actions (?).
The staff members began their respective tasks and welcomed the participants.
The OASIS meeting (Mother's Day Unfilial Meeting) has begun.

The venue on the day. About 200 cars gathered. The ground was dirt, so it was unpopular due to the dust it created. I regret it now...

It was a scene from the "Roadster Club Ranking Check." The questions were supposed to be ones that "if you drive an RS, you'd get the answers right!", but there were no decent questions.
Many of the guests on stage were the target of laughs set up by the staff. Thank you for your cooperation!

It was a "Conductor Game Hi & Low." It was basically the same as the previous "True or False Quiz."
The only difference was that the conductor had to blow a whistle and pull a rope to mark the boundary between the circle and the cross. Just like the nostalgic "train game" of old.

A commemorative photo taken at the closing ceremony. The number of participating vehicles was double that of last year, and so were the participants. This explains the opening title.
Thank you everyone for coming from far away!
Other events included "Attack! The Roadster Next Door," where owners were interviewed one after the other; "Ticket Quiz," where participants collected pictures from their participation tickets and had them solve a mystery; and the traditional "Grand Raffle," which was a huge success.
Chapter 3: Burnout
The event somehow managed to hold out despite the treacherous weather until the end, and the event itself ended without incident despite a number of hiccups.
Just before dusk, when we were seeing off Mizuochi-san from RCOJ, all the staff suddenly burst into a chorus of "Hotaru no Hikari" (Light of the Stars) and it was a memorable moment.
A strange sense of fatigue and fulfillment, similar to that which occurred when we were students and had successfully managed a school festival, enveloped all the staff.
The next day, normal life resumed.
Bonus: Original Wine
Starting this year, OASIS began producing wine with an original OASIS label as a souvenir project related to Kobe.
This is the first OASIS wine to be released.
