Chapter 1: It all started here

"Should we hold a joint BBQ event between Club Style and ESAH sometime?"
These words were the catalyst for the OASIS meeting, which continues to this day. Even back then, Club Style and ESAH had been actively interacting through touring and other activities. The plan was proposed at that time. Before we knew it, the barbecue had transformed into a meeting, and as the plan was finalized, the scale gradually grew, with the idea that if we were going to do it anyway, we should get all the clubs in the Kansai region together. Before we knew it, the event had expanded to include individuals and any club. Since it was intended to be a one-time event, everyone was relaxed.

That is, until the day arrived...

Chapter 2: The theme is "Unchecked"

May 9th, 1999, was a day filled with anticipation and anxiety. It happened to be Mother's Day. Someone coined the term "Unfilial Meeting." The venue was Kobe Fruit Flower Park. It was a beautiful sunny day. The participation fee was 1,000 yen, including the cost of wine. The only attractions were a true or false quiz and a raffle. The selling point was, "We'll provide a place for everyone to gather, so the rest is down to you to enjoy yourself!"
This was the beginning of what was essentially a "free-for-all meeting."

The scene at the venue on the day. About 100 cars gathered from all over the country. The staff were all very excited about this unexpected number of cars.

The two presenters and RCOJ's Mizuochi-san on stage (for the 500,000th commemorative car). Mizuochi-san gave a congratulatory speech for the event. The presenters had the audience excited with their Kansai vibe (?).

A scene from "True or False Quiz," which later transforms into "Conductor Game Hi & Low."
Like in "Super Quiz America," probably no one remembers that the quiz started with, "Do you want to go to New York?"

RCOJ has a 500,000th car and a 10th anniversary message car. Many people have signed the bodies at other events and the Miyoshi 10th anniversary event. This was the only real highlight of the event.

This commemorative photo was taken at the closing ceremony of the event. All the staff were thrilled that so many people participated in an event that was not even properly advertised.

Chapter 3: The Future of OASIS

And so the one-off OASIS meeting was drawing to a close. All the staff were breathing a sigh of relief that they had managed to finish the event without a hitch.
Meanwhile, Mr. Mizuochi from RCOJ was giving the closing remarks...
"Every Mother's Day, come to OASIS, and keep up the great work next year and beyond!!"

...With that one word, my future fate was decided.
This is the beginning of a long and arduous journey.
